Village Javorje

We are located in the small mountain village of Javorje in the Poljanska Valley, one of the sunniest villages in Slovenia.Although situated in the heart of the Škofja Loka Hills at an altitude of 700 m, we are only 7 km away from Poljane nad Škofjo Loko. We are surrounded by the most prominent peaks of this hilly region: Blegoš, Koprivnik, Mladi vrh, and Stari vrh – all very popular excursion destinations. Forested areas surround us in all directions, which is why forestry and wood processing are well-developed activities in this region.

Gostilna Blegoš has a long-standing tradition. Its beginnings date back to the late 18th century, and we took it over in the year 2000. Over the following ten years, we completely renovated and expanded the building and redesigned its surroundings. Today, we are proud to offer a summer garden under a traditional hayrack, a children’s playground, and our own parking area. By expanding the kitchen and adding an extension, we have significantly increased our hospitality capacity.

Today, we can accommodate up to 75 guests on the winter–summer terrace, 30 guests in the rustic dining room with a traditional bread oven, 20 guests in the bar area, and 32 guests in the summer garden under the hayrack. In addition to our restaurant services, we have also renovated and expanded our accommodation facilities. We offer 18 beds – 6 comfortably furnished rooms and one apartment, all with private bathrooms, toilets, television, and internet access.

Our location offers an excellent starting point for hikers heading to popular mountain destinations. In winter, we are especially popular with skiers, as we are located only 2 km from the Stari vrh ski resort and just over 20 km from the Cerkno ski center.
